Pumpkins

Another fun challenge from http://www.kardcrazy.blogspot.com/, Tag Tuesday.  Pumpkins!!! Here is my tag.  I used Distress Ink on back ground to make polka dots, cut out pumpkins from Paper Trey Inc. and added some buttons.Viola!

Morning walk

Good Morning, thought that I would share my morning walk with you through the walnut orchards.

This is the road I walk every morning.  It is so relaxing to hear the birds, turkeys and owls.  My walking partner and I walked at dusk the other night and hear owls.  Very spooky too!

Halloween !   This image is from Tim Holtz Stamps.  The background is distress ink.  The writing is from a book I found at an antique store.  It is in German writing. Love it. 

What I have been working on

This is my latest drawing/painting.  She is not done yet I have yet to choose colors for her, but I like my background .  This is from a class that I take on line with Suzi Blu Academy.  I will add a link to her site later. I can't say enough about these classes.  Suzi is a very giving teacher and goes above and beyond for her students.  She does videos and shows you how to be an artist.  Stop by and pay a visit and see all of the wonderful art being created by her talented students.

My tag for this week is extra large, it measures 4 x 8.5.  I have these great envies that I found that are just a tad larger and I thought why not make an extra large tag. New Things

There are some new tags in my etsy shop that will go in today.  They are big tags in Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, and Blue. They are 6 1/4 x 3 1/8.  Nice to work with.

This is a mixed media painting that I just finished.  My inspirations was my oldest son.  When he was little I made a pumpkin costume for him that he happily wore, but hated the little hat with the stem on it.  This was layered with tissue paper, paper from and old dictionary. I then added a was for aging and coated with a layer of wax.

Last but not leased is a challenge from Splitcoast Stampers.  It is the color challenge 286.  Were given 3 colors to work with.  More Mustard, Melon Mombo, and Baja Breeze.  There is a dessert, an extra, given but I did not add to this project.  Unfortunately, I only had More Mustard but tried to find the closest colors in my stash to play.  This card is going to my nephew and his wife, as they are moving today into a new house.

Paperless Tag

This is a tag created for a challenge over at  KardKrazy.blogspot.com. The challenged given was to create a tag with out using paper as the main construction.  I chose to use Tim Holtz die cut Caged Bird.  A soda can was die cut and left with the natural aluminum .  I had some heart charms and a few beads and added to the bottom.  I think it turned out cute.  Also is great for reusing items around the house.

A Card Front

Here is a picture of a card front using some of the items in the Daisy kit. 

These papers are from the Daisy kit in my Etsy shop.  I cut strips of paper and added a little trim to cover the meeting of the papers.  I added my own embleshment.  All it need is a sentiment and a perfect card.  Below is the Daisy Kit, visit my Etsy shop to check it out.

In the Sky

Wednesday- In the Sky
I cut out a tag, punched out a moon did some shading.  I then added a piece of acetate that I kept from some packaging.  I stamped stars, added som rhinestones, they are hard to see.  As always the picture always looks better in person.

Eggs! & Natures Awakening

I also have todays Think Monday-ATC, todays theme is Natures Awakening. 

Spring for me is getting our  vegatable garden going!

The background image is from Graphics Fairy.  The large carrot is from Stampin Up, and the smaller veggies are cut out of a aluminum can and colored with Sharpie permanent markers.

Think Monday ATC

I have not been able to post lately.  My oldest son has moved back home for awhile.  He did not recieve his raise yet, so things have fell through for him.  Soooo, my craft/office room has turned into craft/office/bedroom again.  But I did manage to put this ATC together for Think Monday.  Its ok, when I look at all the great work done on the other ATC's, it is intimidating to post my work.  I am always second guessing myself.

Think Orange!!!

This is for the Monday ATC challenge  Link: http://tmta.wordpress.com/.  I really enjoy these challenges.

Here I used a piece of scrap paper that I cut out a design from and glued to a background stamped with orange polka dots.  I also used orange images that were stamped on cardstock , I then cut them out and used for a border.  The beautiful lady is from http://www.digitalcollagesheets.com/ .  A few rhinestones, gotta have some sparklez!!!  Wallah!! 

Flourish

This is my interpretation.  The flourishes were stamped on water colored paper.

My how time flies.  I can't believe its been that long since I have posted.  I have been busy.  My husband is still recovering from knee surgery.  I have been busy with my "real" job.

I chose to alter a tin with this bed of hot red flowers and the swim suit beauty.  Perfect for Valentines!

Theme Thursday Post

Pink and Black, I love these colors.  When I saw this challange on Theme Thursday is got me moving to get out thank you cards for my birthday.  The doll parts are from Art Chixs the picture is of me. I placed my card in a glassine bag and will mail out.

The challenge was to create something using your favorite number.  Can you tell what my favorite number is.

Where have I been?

I have been gone.  My husband had double knee replacement.  Yep!  both of his knees totally replaced.  It has been dark here in my house.  I have been busy visiting the patient,(he was in the physical rehab. facility for two weeks), taking care of the patient, I  have a job, two children at home, bills, etc. 

I new that when I started blogging something would happen and I would be taken away.  But 2010 has to be a better year for me.  I will make a great effort to post more.
