Theme Thursday Post

Pink and Black, I love these colors.  When I saw this challange on Theme Thursday is got me moving to get out thank you cards for my birthday.  The doll parts are from Art Chixs the picture is of me. I placed my card in a glassine bag and will mail out.

The challenge was to create something using your favorite number.  Can you tell what my favorite number is.

Where have I been?

I have been gone.  My husband had double knee replacement.  Yep!  both of his knees totally replaced.  It has been dark here in my house.  I have been busy visiting the patient,(he was in the physical rehab. facility for two weeks), taking care of the patient, I  have a job, two children at home, bills, etc. 

I new that when I started blogging something would happen and I would be taken away.  But 2010 has to be a better year for me.  I will make a great effort to post more.

1 year anniversary

It has been 1 year ago this month that I was diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes, and I was sitting here with my coffee reflecting on this past year.

I have always used walking as my exercise, but this past year I have increased my miles, speed and actually enjoying the time to unwind.  I have managed to keep my blood sugar levels within the limits that it should be, changed my eating habits even more, that means my husband too!  I have gone thru the "why me" stage, anger and now, not really acceptance, but my goal is to not to have to take medication. 

I hope that those of you out there that have this disease, keep up the good fight, eat healthy, exercise and keep a positive attitude.

Since I have all this time to think this morning,husband and son have left for a week to go hunting, I have a list that is overwhelming.  I found my self prioritizing it several times.  The list is so overwhelming that I don't know where to start.  I said to my self, two less people this week, less laundry, less cooking, etc., nows the chance to get started. But where do I start?  Maybe in my craft room first!!!

Is any one else out there feeling overwhelmed?  Let me know.

I used paper from Carolyn Gavin from K and Co., its called green house.  Really great colors and the paper feels good.  Can paper feel good?  The acorn is from Stampin' Up oldie, Autumn Fest. The squirrel is from Paper Treys, My Puny Valentine.

Computer Down

It's great to be back!  The computer was not working properly and I just got it back up and running.  I have been so busy at my real job that I don't have much to share.  Maybe tomorrow I  will have something ready.
